Before you buy

  • Free admission is available for Illinois residents each weekday from 11 a.m. through closing
  • Children under 14 years get in for free, no ticket needed

On-site usage

Go to the Michigan Avenue entrance at 111 S. Michigan and proceed directly to the security desk to present your smartphone ticket for entry.

After your visit

  • Not allowed: Tripods, flash attachments, video cameras, selfie sticks, long umbrellas, wrapped packages, art materials other than a pencil
  • Download the free audio tour app here
  • Pictures for personal use only. Signs indicate the few works not allowed to be photographed
  • The museum offers free guided tours at 12:00 or 14:00 (depending on the day). More information here
